A Level Success Stories

“During the last two years in the Sixth Form, I’ve enjoyed The Future Ready Programme, which has helped me prepare for university. I particularly enjoyed the lessons on money management, budgeting, meal planning and what it means to be a member of a global society and help drive change.”

Meet Nick, who is off to study Politics & International Relations at Birmingham University

Among the highest performers was Nick, awarded A*, A, A, who will be reading Politics & International Relations at Birmingham University.

“I am proud of my achievements and excited about the future. I joined The Royal  School after spending some time at another local independent school where I  experienced a confidence knock as I was told ‘once a plodder, always a plodder’. I was relieved when I discovered The Royal!"

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I cannot thank my teachers enough for all their support. They have always been there for me, guiding me, sharing helpful tips on how to revise and how to face exams with confidence and not fear."

“As a sixth former, I had the privilege to Flexi board two days per week; this is a popular option for many sixth formers. It was incredibly helpful as the first step to being away from home in preparation for university and helping me have the greater discipline for studying & revision."

“The Future Ready Programme has also been invaluable. It has taught me about planning, not what to think, but how to think, which has undoubtedly helped me achieve my personal best.”

“I will miss all my friends and teachers, but I look forward to the future".

Huge congratulations to Suzy, who will go on to study English at Nottingham University after being awarded A*, A*, A, and A in EPQ (Extended Project Qualification)

Suzy joined The Royal School in Year 5 after several years of travelling worldwide due to family work commitments.

“I’ve been at The Royal since Year 5. One of my earliest memories was my involvement in the drama production of Aladdin. I remember loving every aspect of the show. It was without a doubt the moment I developed my love for the arts”.

“During the last two years in the Sixth Form, I’ve enjoyed The Future Ready Programme, which has helped me prepare for university. I particularly enjoyed the lessons on money management, budgeting, meal planning and what it means to be a member of a global society and help drive change.”

“After so many happy years here, I’m looking forward to new experiences, but I will miss my teachers, my friends and the physical environment at the top of Farnham Lane, surrounded by nature & woodland. It’s hard to put into words my experience at the school.”
