Welcome
We hope that when our pupils leave The Royal School, their connection with the School doesn’t end there.
We are proud of our former pupils who pride themselves with being part of a long tradition of pioneering and enterprising individuals whose achievements are an inspiration to today's pupils. We invite them to return to the school to share their experiences with our current pupils at our careers conference and networking events. Whatever our pupils go on to study and wherever they are in the world, there are always ways to be involved.
During 2015, on behalf of our founder schools, The Royal School celebrated the 175th Anniversary of the founding of The Royal Naval School and the 100th Anniversary of The Grove School moving from Highgate in London to Hindhead.
In 2020, the 25th Anniversary since the creation of The Royal School, our first cohort of co-ed Sixth Form leavers became Old Nelsonians.
Whatever your connection to The Royal School, as a ‘leaver’ you will automatically be enrolled into the Old Nelsonians’ Association, (or re-enrolled into the Royal Naval School Society or Old Groveians Association) which provides life-long membership. As part of The Royal School’s extended family, you will always receive a very warm welcome when you contact us or come for a visit.
We are happy to welcome former pupils back to school for a visit but please bear in mind that we will need to accompany you around the School site, so we cannot accommodate this without prior notice.

Please complete and submit a registration form, even if you are already on our database and in receipt of communications from the School. This form allows us to establish the level of interest you wish to maintain with the School and will ensure our communications remain relevant to you.
