Role:

Head of Prep School, The Royal School

Hello, my name is Kerrie Daunter and I am the Head of The Royal Prep School. Leading this school alongside an outstanding team of enthusiastic educationalists is a huge privilege. The emphasis at The Royal School is centred around bringing the best out in every single child and equipping them with the skills and confidence to be who they are and who they want to be, as well knowing the difference they can make in the world, both now and in the future. In addition to delivering an excellent education in all aspects of academia, sport and creative arts, we are passionate about instilling character. We harness the children’s natural curiosity and encourage them to dip their toes in, step outside their comfort zones and make new discoveries. By gaining experiences beyond the school gates, their eyes are opened to the world around them. The Royal School is blessed with stunning grounds including ponds, woodland, large sports pitches, nature trails and an allotment; taking our learning outside is not only a pleasure but an essential part of the children’s development. Come to visit The Royal School and see for yourself. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Role:

Deputy Head of Prep School, The Royal School

Hello, my name is Jenny De la force and I am Deputy Head of The Royal Prep School. I have had the pleasure of teaching here for 18 years. I’ve seen the school change and evolve in many ways but none have been more inspiring than where we are right now - we have a very exciting future ahead.  I am responsible for the Pastoral care of the children and firmly believe that happy children make for happy learners.  I’m privileged to work with such creative and inspiring teachers who care greatly about the children they teach. The respect and kindness that permeates our community is modelled to our children who, in turn, develop into thoughtful and considerate, independent, young people. Come and see for yourself why we’re so passionate about our school.

Role:

Head of Maths / Timetabler / Cover & Duty Rota Coordinator

Hi, my name is Su Mattingly and I am in charge of sorting out the timetables, duty rotas and cover for the Prep School. I am also the Maths Coordinator. I joined The Royal Prep School in September 2011 and have enjoyed every minute of teaching here. I love the fact that this is a small, nurturing school with staff who are very supportive of each other, and the children. I have a strong sporting background, having represented South Africa for Synchronised Swimming and Masters Hockey, so I feel that the children are extremely lucky to have such a beautiful, big open space to run around and exercise in.

Hello, my name is Clare Mee and I take responsibility for monitoring the academic progress and attainment of each child in the Prep School; from reaching milestones in Little Sailors to ensuring a thorough academic transition for our Prep 6 pupils into our Senior School. With a Masters in English and Creative Writing, I also take care of the English curriculum and the extra-curricular opportunities that go alongside it; I am passionate about children’s literature and developing a lifelong love of reading in our pupils. Teaching Prep 3 is such a pleasure; we spend plenty of time outdoors in our wonderful grounds and approach our curriculum as creatively as possible. Come and meet our delightful children and dynamic staff; we’d love to tell you more.
