ROYAL SCHOOL - Haslemere

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE

At the junior school our popular Breakfast Club opens at 7.45am and provides a safe and secure environment for those girls whose parents need to go on to work or other school runs. For a nominal fee this informal adult supervised half hour offers toast, cereal, fruit, milk and hot chocolate with books, games, crafts or last minute prep!

Senior girls can sign into the boarding house for breakfast if they arrive early.

After school, junior girls can join After School Care (ASC) or our Sundowners programme; both run from 3.45 - 6.15pm.

ASC is informal: refreshments are served and girls participate in home-from-home activities such as prep, table football, craft or music. ASC is supervised by adults and a small charge is made for this service.

Our exciting Sundowners programme runs 5 evenings a week with fun and challenging adult led activities (the following are scheduled for the Summer Term 2010 and some activities are chargeable):

Monday- Speech & Drama, Natural Art, Discover Nature, Orchestra, Rounders

Tuesday- Speech & Drama, Current Affairs, Football, Karate, Gymnastic

Wednesday- Choir, Tennis, Art Workshop, Ballet

Thursday- Speech & Drama, Tennis, Drama Workshop, Modern Dance

Friday- Tennis, Running Club, Rock Band, Ballet

Speech and Drama classes run three times per week, before school begins.

Senior girls can work til 5.30pm (5.00pm on Thursday) in the library with adult supervision. After this day girls can sign in at the boarding house until their parents can pick them up. Supper is available to all girls.

The senior school after school programme includes matches, Duke of Edinburgh, choir, swimming and ballet.

A full list clubs and activities for both junior and senior girls can be found at the back of the calendar.
