RESCUE SERVICES VISIT DAYCARE AND NURSERY
Daycare and Nursery children had two special visits this week. On Wednesday they enjoyed the visit by a fire engine and five fire fighters. The fire fighters told the children how to put out a fire, talked about fire alarms and what to do when there is a fire in the room – STOP, DROP and ROLL (we will practice this in sports next week!). One fire fighter was dressed, top to bottom, in a safety outfit including a mask. To finish the visit the fire fighters showed the children their fire engine and used their hose to clean the teachers’ cars!
On Thursday the children were treated to an aerial spectacle as the air ambulance, crewed by Olivia Painter’s father, hovered above the school. It flew so low that the children could see Mr Painter waving to them! Both visits made for a very exciting experience which the children will always remember.
