PREP 6 WALK LIKE EGYPTIANS!

Last Thursday, Prep 6 ventured into London to visit the Ancient Egyptian galleries at the British Museum. Their work sheets turned them into detectives as they searched and explored the galleries to find artefacts that showed them about life in this period; they were a little squeamish upon discovering the mummy known as Ginger given that they could see his dried out skin and body! They also found lots of little ‘shabtis’ – small figures that were buried in the tombs to act as slaves in the Afterlife. Miss De la force was heard to comment that she would like several of these to help at home too! The girls worked hard and were a pleasure to take to London for the day.
