PARTY TIME IN AFTER SCHOOL CARE

After School Care not only provides a safe environment for Junior girls to complete homework and relax after a full day at school, it also aims to be a nurturing transition between the educational day and home life. To this end, on Wednesday, 11^th November a party was held in one of the After School Care rooms for our youngest boarder, Soraya Lamptey, to celebrate her 5^th birthday. Soraya was able to invite all her friends in her class to join her for this very special event. Party games were played, with ‘pass the parcel’ being a big hit, followed by a traditional tea and of course, birthday cake, which was so big it was able to feed all the boarders as well! At five o’clock, all the now sleepy but happy partygoers armed with treat bags and balloons, were collected by parents. A special thank you must go to all the After School team, teaching staff and catering team who helped make one little girl’s party such a magical occasion. A special mention must go to Miss Danielle McManus who was an invaluable help.
