ELECTION OF HEAD GIRLS

My warmest congratulations to Michelle Breese (pictured on the right) who has been elected Head Girl of the Senior School and to Holly Downing who has been elected Deputy Head Girl. The process is a thorough one; girls are invited to put themselves forward to a first round where a selection is made by the Sixth Form tutors. The girls who go through to the second round are interviewed by the Head in front of the whole school and answer a series of questions about the values of the School and the part that the candidate has played to support those values. It is a risky undertaking in that of the 7 final round candidates, 5 are certain to be disappointed. I applaud the courage of the candidates, each of whom could do the job well. A number of interesting new ideas came out of the interviews which I look forward to exploring further with Michelle and Holly when they take up office. Mrs Taylor-Gooby.
