DEDICATED FOLLOWERS OF FASHION ...?!
The Royal School girls, parents, friends and staff enjoyed a wonderful fashion show on Saturday evening organised by The Royal School Association. Girls from Year 5 up to Sixth Form confidently modelled clothing from local retailers including Clova, Windmills, Fat Face, Enchantment, Noggs and Sports Locker. The staff, having been cleverly coerced into participating, braved the perils of the catwalk to model hats from Felicity Hat Hire, evening gowns from The Special Dress Shop and men’s occasion wear from Anthony Hire Wear. Escarda Hair and Beauty provided much needed hair and make-up services to the ladies. Luckily, professional models were drafted in to model swimwear and nightwear from Amazing Grace! Original designs by the GCSE and A Level Textile students were showcased to great applause, including a gown by Kirin Atwal that was selected as an exemplar A* A level piece by the AQA examining board. Sadly, there were no model agency talent scouts in the audience to discover the next Kate Moss but the evening was, nonetheless, hailed an enormous success by audience and participants alike.
