APPEAL 2008-11Appeal 2008-11

We are delighted with the success we have achieved in the first year of our Appeal, particularly given the economic situation. Work is forging ahead a term early on the new art room at the top of Hindhead Court now the new fire escape has made it possible for us to make full use of that storey.  At the Senior School we are looking forward to beginning work on developing our sports facilities.

Thanks to an exceptionally generous donation of £20,000 from one family the sports project has been well and truly started - also a term earlier than anticipated - with several events already planned for the summer term. This donation is a gesture of thanks to the School for the start in life received by their daughters.  It is a wonderful gesture for which we are sincerely grateful.

Launched in September 2008 and running for 3 years, the School aims to raise £250,000 to build a creative arts space at the Junior School (£50,000) and a viewing gallery in the Princess Anne Sports Hall at the Senior School (£200,000). These improvements will complement the development programme currently underway at the Junior School as a result of the A3 Improvement Scheme. The new international standard lacrosse pitch, tennis and netball courts, pavilion, chapel and car park will become available between 2009 and 2011.

We have joined everyclick.com that donates ££ to our appeal every time you shop online. Just visit www.everyclick.com/the-royal-school for all your online shopping.

There will be opportunities for participation in fund raising activities or to make donations in the coming terms.

Both projects will benefit the life of the whole School now and for many years to come - all donations no matter how large or small, regular or one off, will be received with thanks.

Watch this space for updates on our progress.
